TAZ'S COUNTRY CORNER
This is my buddy TAZ's extremely comprehensive Country Music site. For information on anyone and anything that is, has been, or ever will be associated with COUNTRY MUSIC, this is a great place to start.

 Lake Pepin Golf Course
My best friend Schmidty and his family turned their dairy farm in Lake City into one of the most beautiful 18-Hole golf courses around. If you're a golfing fanatic, put this place on your "MUST DO" list! (Lake City is only 90 minutes S. of the Twin Cities on Highway 61)

Pamela McNeill
Pamela is just too cool for words. Her songwriting is beautiful and intense.
Her CD’s are powerful, cohesive, emotionally driven, and thoughtful.
And her live performances...OH MY GAWD! THIS WOMAN JUST ROCKS!
Her entire band is phenomenal! You MUST see Pamela LIVE! [That's right, I said "MUST!" Now ease back on that "Sass Throttle" of yours and do as you're told!]

I've been hearing ABOUT Darrin Rosha for a few years now, but never actually met him until just recently.
Darrin is a singer-songwriter with a knack for writing radio-friendly songs that fit seamlessly alongside mainstream country music's benchmark artists. Darrin's teary-eyed croon delivers a perfect blend of traditional country credibility and contemporary country crossover appeal. His website features a generous helping of hi-fi audio, so click on through and check him out for yourself.

Rockie Rash
|
After our very first gig with him, one fact was undeniable:
Rockie Rash is an amazingly gifted young man.
Rockie is one of the most remarkable all-purpose lead guitar players
I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and the depth of his talent
goes well beyond that. An outstanding singer, songwriter, producer, and sound
engineer, Rockie is also a genuinely kind person whose discipline, dedication to
his craft, and sense of values are an inspiration. Go see this guy.
*UPDATE: He now goes by the name ROCKIE LYNNE. Early in 2005 Rockie landed a
SIX RECORD deal with UNIVERSAL SOUTH in Nashville, and his first single, "LIPSTICK"
is now a nationwide hit! Rockie is being courted by the best of the best in
Nashville, who are heralding him as THE NEXT BIG THING! |
TOLD YA SO!
Michael Andrew and Swingerhead
My buddy Mech's website! (pronounced: Meck) Mech was my roommate in college. He went on to become the singer and band leader of New York City's legendary Rainbow Room Orchestra, and now heads up Swingerhead, from coast to coast, one of the top swing bands in the nation!

Sherwin Linton & The Cotton Kings!
My good friend, the former lead guitar player for Gino Ruberto & Durango, and all around super cool dude, Roger "Cabbage" Patch is now one of THE COTTON KINGS, playing pedal steel guitar for "Mid-America's Country Music Legend!" After 45 years in this business, Sherwin Linton continues to play close to 300 dates a year. Fans old and new just keep 'a coming! Check 'em out and you'll know why!

The Killer Hayseeds
|
One beer-bent night around 1990, my buddies and I found ourselves in a new St. Paul nightclub called "CANYON" (The "Countrified" HEARTTHROB) Curiosity put us there after we read their marquee: TONIGHT! KILLER HAYSEEDS! That name was WAY too hilarious to ignore. Once they started playing though, it was obvious to everyone there that this band was something special. They were kicking ass like no country band I'd ever seen before. Despite only being together a couple months, they put on the kind of unforgettable show a fan might still rave about 12 years down the road! THE KILLER HAYSEEDS are STILL doing that, and better than ever. THE SEEDS came through for me big time during my K102 days when I needed a top-notch band to back me. These guys are the real deal. I know first-hand how impossible it can be just to keep a band intact and on a common path, not to mention motivated and inspired. Darrin, Ross, Todd, Jeff & Zak have an awful lot to be proud of. It takes a ton of dedication and hard work to maintain the extraordinary standards that THE KILLER HAYSEEDS continue to deliver for their fans year after year. What's really cool is, they make it look so easy...
